April 4, 2014 – Daytona, FL – MarineMax Daytona announced today that they are an official sponsor the 14th Annual Halifax Sport Fishing Club Offshore Challenge. The event is scheduled to take place April 10 through April 13, 2014 and MarineMax Daytona will enter a MarineMax team in this fund raising event to benefit the Veterans Support Fund.
Thursday evening, April 10th, there will be a Captain’s Meeting at the Halifax Sport Fishing Club headquarters at 6:30 P.M. Fishing commences at 6:30 A.M. on April 12. Weigh-in is at Down The Hatch Seafood Company restaurant with a check-in cut-off at 6 P.M. Targeted species are wahoo, dolphin and king mackerel. All IGFA rules apply. In addition there are prescribed minimum weights, 10 pounds for dolphin and king mackerel and wahoo must weigh a minimum of 15 pounds.
The awards ceremony will be held at 4 P.M. at Down The Hatch Seafood Company restaurant located at 4894 Front St., Ponce Inlet, FL. Tournament Director, Tom Farnham, will present the winners with trophies and their checks.
