January 22, 2015 – Panama City, FL – MarineMax announced today that the Panama City store will be teaming up with local U.S.C.G. Auxiliary officers to host the first “Safe Boating Course” for this season. This course will be held on February 7, 2015 at the MarineMax Panama City facility from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
The course is designed to familiarize a novice or intermediate boater with boat handling and boating safety. It can also can serve as a refresher course for those more experienced boaters. The cost is $35.00 per participant, $20.00 for each additional family member. This includes all classroom materials and a lunch.

Auxiliary’s popular online course,” said Bob Fowler, sales consultant and broker, MarineMax Panama City. “We try to have fun while interacting with personal instructors sharing important safety practices, operational skills and maintenance advice that will keep you and your family protected while having fun on the water.”
Topics that will be covered include the things you need to know about getting started in boating, boating restrictions and regulations, required and recommended safety equipment, how to safely operate and navigate your boat, how to handle issues that may arise. The seminar will also cover trailering, storing and protecting your boat and how to properly operate when hunting, fishing, waterskiing or operating on a river.
