MarineMax Panama City Beach Hosts Free Red Snapper & Bottom Fishing Seminar

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla., (April 27, 2015) – MarineMax announced today that their Panama City Beach store will be hosting a “Catching Red Snapper & Bottom Fishing” seminar. The seminar explains the proper techniques and methods to successfully target and catch red snapper and other bottom fish that inhabit the water offshore of Panama City Beach. The event will be held at MarineMax Panama City Beach on Saturday, May 9, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in a fun, classroom environment.

With red snapper season beginning May 23, 2015, this timely and instructive seminar features Tom Putnam, Fishing Seminar Series Instructor & owner of Half-Hitch Tackle Stores, who will share his extensive expertise in deep sea bottom fishing for snapper, grouper, mackerel, as well as other species. Tom will detail how to target many of the species that stalk the reefs off of Panama City Beach. He will share when, where and proper approaches using various rods, reels, tackle and bait. Tom will also coach on bait presentation, hook setting, landing techniques as well as teaching the tools and techniques of how to handle and release these denizens of the deep safely.

Printed materials will be handed out for future reference and professional vocalist and seminar host Bob Fowler will provide entertainment during the halftime break.

“Fishing down deep requires special skills, tools and knowledge that differs greatly from other styles of fishing.
